Foothills
State Forest
To the west and north of Pine River is the Foothills
State Forest with several primitive campsites, ten miles west from the Paul
Bunyan Trail in Pine River.
Woodtick Trail
North and east of Hackensack
is the Woodtick Trail, winding from Hwy 371 to
city of Longville. Several primative campsites are also available on the many
smaller lakes in this area.

Bike Campground On The Pine River
Located on the Pine River one
mile south of the City of Pine River. Accessable only by bicycle or hiking
directly off the Paul Bunyan Trail. Two sites each with fire ring, picnic table
and primitive toilets. No water. Watch for DNR sign along trail for entrance.
