"Father Of The Paul Bunyan Trail"

Terry McGaughey passed away July 2010
Terry spent un-countable hours and
un-countable miles in an effort to establish
the Paul Bunyan Trail. Terry introduced the idea of the Paul Bunyan Trail to the Pine River Chamber of Commerce in 1983 and the Chamber made a resolution supporting the idea, passed that on to the City of Pine River which in turn passed the resolution and forwarded it on to the State of Minnesota. That is the reason that Pine River calls itself "The Birthplace of the Paul Bunyan Trail". Those who ride the
Paul Bunyan Trail can thank Terry and his many supporters for the ride!
