Bluegrass
music will drift across the forests and lakes of northern Minnesota next August
in Pine River! The Lakes Bluegrass Festival is renewing its tradition with a four
day bluegrass festival at the Cass County Fairgrounds in Pine River August 21
through August 24, 2008.
Nationally known bands such as David Davis and the
Warrior River Boys, The Pine Mountain Railroad, The Faris Family, Michelle Nixon
& Drive, The Platte Valley Boys, the Berge Family and many more will pick
and grin on stage along with many regional and local bands.

The Pine River Art Club
holds it's annual show in July. The show features a wide variety of quality paintings
and other visual expressions created by area artists - as well as artists from
other parts of the country. Free admission to the public.
Broken
Wing Rendezvous
The Broken Wing Rendezvous is held in
mid-September. The event gives physically challenged hunters the opportunity to
pheasant hunt at no cost and includes the hospitality of nearly 100 local residents.
