June 24th marks Summerfest’s triumphant return to Pine River. As well bringing back the old favorites of parades, fireworks, and ice cream, we’re adding something new to the community picnic table this year: food trucks, yoga in the park, and a twilight bike ride along the Paul Bunyan Trail – underneath the fireworks.

There’s a ton of events packed into this year’s Summerfest: take a morning yoga class, enjoy the community picnic after the parade down at the award-winning ripple rock dam, and sometime in between all of that, you can take in sidewalk sales, kayak races, fire truck displays for the kids, ice cream at Dairy Queen…

Medallion Hunt

The annual city-wide Medallion Hunt, follow the clues posted on our Facebook page, starting on Thursday @ 8 AM.

Sidewalk Sales

Various local businesses are hosting sidewalk sales throughout Pine River, so stop by and say hello.

Kayaking, Paddle Boarding & Swimming

Join in the fun down at the rock dam – with swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding all day long.

Our 2nd Annual kayak race begins at the park, sponsored by The Dock Guys

Yoga In The Park

@ the Rock Dam park

Guiding Elements Yoga & 218 Fitness present a morning yoga class at the park alongside the dam, with the sounds of water rushing through the rocks to help bring a sense of peace to your day.

Registration starts at 9 AM, with a start time of 9:15. The class is limited to 30 people.

Fire Departmant Open House

The volunteer Pine River Fire Department opens up their doors to the kids (and us adults) to show off their trucks and gear.

Kid’s Zone & Yard Games

down @ the Rock Dam park

We open up the kids play area with tons of activities: a bunch of yard games for families and a crafts event for the kids by Happy Dancing Turtle. There will even be a bounce house, a ‘knock em’ down game’, and bungee run available from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Summerfest Parade

The Summerfest parade starts at the school, winds its way through the Good Samaritan parking lot, and makes its way to Barclay and runs through downtown.

Community Picnic

Join us down at the rock dam park for our community picnic from lunch through dinner. And if you don’t want to cook, there will be food trucks…many food trucks. Sponsored by The Barclay.

Bubble Obstacle Course

@ Select Therapy

Kids and families are invited to the famous bubble obstacle course at Select Therapy. Hosted & sponsored by Select Therapy.

Airport Tours

Come out to the Pine River Regional Airport for a tour of all things airborne – including a plane.

Back by very popular demand, the Happy Dancing Turtle kid’s crafting station will be set up down at the Rock Dam park. Hosted & sponsored by Happy Dancing Turtle.

@ the Chamber Office & Depot

Join up with a community bike ride alongside the Paul Bunyan Trail, and ride underneath the fireworks when getting back. Hosted & sponsored by Pedal Pine River.
