THE FAMOUS PINE RIVER DUCK RACES
Every Friday from mid-June through mid-August the now famous Pine River Duck Races take place on the Pine River in Pine River! Duck racers rent a duck for a buck ($1) and the duck is placed in a barrel with fifty other ducks (Keep in mind these are NOT live ducks, but decoys!) and the whole batch is dumped off the Pine River dam into the river at which time they “stream” down the river one hundred yards to the finish line! Any age can rent a duck! It’s fun! It’s exciting! It’s the Pine River Duck Race!
